STAX SPEED CLUB

BUILT FOR SPEED.

STAX Speed Club is a youth track & field program based in Milpitas, CA — developing fast, confident, and competition-ready athletes.

Our Mission

More Than a Track Club

STAX Speed Club was founded on a simple belief: every kid deserves the chance to discover how fast they can go. We combine elite coaching, structured training, and a family-first culture to help young athletes unlock their full potential.

From first-time runners to seasoned competitors, STAX meets athletes where they are and pushes them to places they never imagined. Speed is a skill — and we teach it.

Speed as a Skill

We break down sprint mechanics, acceleration, and race strategy so every athlete improves with intention.

Family Culture

STAX is a community. Parents, athletes, and coaches show up for each other — on the track and off.

Competition Ready

We prepare athletes for real meets — from warm-up routines to race-day mindset and post-race review.

Confidence Building

Every PR, every relay, every finish line crossed builds the belief that hard work pays off.

Coach Alexis Ranger-Dunbar

Founder & Head Coach — STAX Speed Club

2024 PacWest Conference Champion, 100m Hurdles · NCAA Division II, Fresno Pacific University

Coach Alexis Ranger-Dunbar is the Founder and Head Coach of STAX Speed Club and a former NCAA Division II track & field athlete at Fresno Pacific University. During her collegiate career, she specialized in the 100-meter hurdles and became the 2024 PacWest Conference Champion in the 100m hurdles.

A lifelong athlete, Coach Alexis brings years of competitive track experience and a genuine passion for helping young athletes reach their potential. Her journey through youth, high school, and collegiate track inspired her to create STAX Speed Club — a program focused on developing speed, proper technique, confidence, discipline, and a love for the sport.

After graduating from Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing, Coach Alexis transitioned from competing to coaching, using her athletic and leadership experience to create an environment where athletes of all experience levels can grow.

At STAX, her goal goes beyond making athletes faster. She wants every athlete to leave practice feeling more confident, more knowledgeable, and excited about what they're capable of accomplishing — both on and off the track.
